Trabuco Canyon Water District’s Water Sources
Trabuco Canyon Water District (TCWD) has a variety of water supply sources, including imported wholesale water supplies and local ground water. Imported wholesale water is supplied primarily from TCWD’s Dimension Water Treatment Plant which treats imported surface water from the Colorado River. TCWD also receives imported treated surface water from Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). Imported treated water primarily consists of blended water from the State Water Project and the Colorado River Aqueduct that is treated by MWD and conveyed to TCWD. In some portions of TCWD, your drinking water is a blend of treated local groundwater and treated imported water. Treated local ground water comes from TCWD’s Trabuco Creek Wells Facility.
